Be Correctable For Life

Job 5:17: Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

Do you want to be happy all of your life? Be correctable all of your life. Ask God to correct you and receive the corrections He wants to make on you. Don*t try to choose your own corrections, receive His.

Proverbs 3:11: My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: 12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Do you want God to be delighted with you? If you permit Him to love you, you will permit Him to correct you and He will be delighted in you. Being happy, being delightful to the Lord and then going to Paradise. What a wonderful and undeserved turn of events!!!!

2 Timothy 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

When you read the Bible do you want it to correct you? Our correction is one of God*s most important purposes for the Bible. As we study the Bible we ought to ask God to use it to correct us.

Proverbs 15:10: Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Proverbs 22:15: Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Jeremiah 2:30: In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion. 5:3 O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return. 7:28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Habakkuk 1:12: Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.

Zephaniah 3:2: She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.

Faith in God includes receiving His wise and loving correction. Do we have that kind of faith or do we have vain (useless) faith? We need the corrections that He applies to us when we receive Jesus, the corrections that He will apply to us throughout life until He makes the final complete correction and takes us to Heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Keep in mind too that His corrections can be grievous but well worth it.

Hebrews 12:11: Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
